Hi, I am a new user of Vegas - I have been using ACID for two years now. I got vegas because I wanted to record mroe than one stereo channel of audio. How, In vegas, do I record two seperate channels to two seperate tracks (both are stereo). Basically I want two of my inputs on my soundcard to record to one stereo track and the other two to another track. How would I go about doing this?

thanks

Probably the easiest thing for you to do is to record them as a single stereo track, then copy that track to another track. Right-mouse-button click on each track and choose "channels / left only" for one and "channels / right only" for the other. Pan as necessary.

Make sure microsoft sound mapper isnt your selected audio device

Right-click the record button on the channel, go down to Select input, go to 'mono' and choose an input. Do the same with the next channel, and select the other desired input.

As pipe said, you will need to select the actual device driver (in Options, audio device) rather than MS Sound Mapper to access the channels individually.

I see how to do it now. You put two audio tracks on the board and then select the inputs with the right mouse-click. thanks
