Question: if i print to tape with the DV machine daisy chained to the Fire wire (6 pin)drive with the project in plays out fine. If I use the DV machine on a different FW (4 pin) socket to the projet drive (6 pin) I drop output to the recorder when printing.

Any reasons as to why this would be, as I would assume using different sockets would be better. The machine has three fire wire socets in total, 2 6 pin one 4 pin.
