multi layer zoom out

Im trying to do a 9x9 grid of images, which fly out to full screen individually, I've worked out the motion section but my problem is that when the 2nd image zooms out its still underneath the first, and when the 3rd zooms out its under the first and second .....

in a ideal world I'd need to make each image on top as it zooms out.

Any Help greatly appreciated

One way is to use 3d track motion. For each image to be brought forward, you change the z location for the image so it is in front of the others. Then, when it zooms out, put it back at 0 or behind the other frames.

Here is a sample veg.
