Multi Track Recording

I have an ECHO MIA Soundcard = 1 Stereo/2 Mono Ins - 1 Stereo/2 Mono Outs & SPDIF.
I am using ACID 3.0, Vegas Audio, & SoundForge 5.0.

I would like to set it all up so that I could record Multiple Tracks Simultaneously. Currently all of my tracks are mixed down via and external mixer and recorded as a single Stereo track.
Is it possible to use SPDIF to record Multiple Tracks Simultaneously? Or do I need to get a "breakout box" and Multi-In Soundcard?

Thanks in advance.

SPDIF carries a 2 channel pair with bit depth up to 24bits and sampling rates up to 48kbps. It only carries multichannel audio in data formats such as AC3.

Yes, here is a list of some multiport audio card vendors.
