Multi track recording - which software?

I'm considering buying a small, cost-effective, multi track recorder for my church. Once I get the recording done I want to download it to my laptop for editing. I have the following software -- which one would be the best to use?

* ACID XMC 6.0
* CD Architect 5.2
* DVD Architect 3.0
* Sound Forge 8.0
* Vegas 7.0

I've accumulated these over time in a bit of a hodge podge way...now I'm not sure of what I have the capability to do...or not do!

Vegas would seem the obvious answer.
I've used it for multitrack recording as well.
If you're on a tight budget Alesis and Phonics have mixers with firewire outputs that I hear work just fine recording into Vegas as well as doubling as a live mixer. That can give you something like 18 track recording.

Hard to know what more you'd need to get the whole job done. I doubt either Alesis or Phonics are quite up there with the top shelf kit but I doubt your congregation will notice.
