I have had Movie Studio Platinum 8.0 for several years but only used it for simple editing, adding credits to music and that kind of thing. Now, I want to do some fairly simple multi-track video, possibly only two or three tracks, possibly four or five later. I am completely ignorant on how to do it. I found some videos but no instructions to tell me how to make the videos.

I can't really record multi-track audio first then "lip sync" to the audio because the music is instrumental. It has to have video and audio recorded together.

With two tracks, I suppose I can record the first live with audio, then using headphones or an ear piece, I can listen to it playback while recording the second to the camera, then sync them in the software.

I suppose...?? is that how it's done? Or do I record the second directly into the software??

Is there any kind of video tutorial where I can find out how to do this? I will probably need to update my software. I may need to also upgrade the computer. Any suggestions on computer power needed for this??

Is this even possible with "Studio" or do I need to upgrade to "Pro??"
