multicam edit: remove filename from each take window?

I've used Vegas for many years, starting from before Sony acquired it. I've been using v9 until I finally upgraded yesterday to Vegas 14. Now I'm doing a 2-camera edit using the "multicamera editing" feature. This works OK, but the video filename is shown at the bottom of each frame in a large font and black backing rectangle, taking up about 1/6 of the whole frame. This is blocking important detail at the bottom of the frame. How can I turn off display of the filename in multicam mode, and just show the take number (1, 2) in the corner?

I don't know if this works, but if so here is a screenshot showing what I'm talking about.

In the preview window:

  • Right click on the preview image
  • Select video preview preferences
  • At bottom left there are two check boxes: "Display take names" & "Display take numbers"
  • Uncheck one or both...

Perfect, just what I was looking for; that fixed it. Thank you!
