Multicam editing issue - black screen for split out video track

Jon-W wrote on 3/20/2024, 4:27 PM

So I went to try multicam editing for the first time today, thinking it would be great. But no. For some reason, the playback was so glitchy and would not select one preview screen over the other, so I was unable to make an edit this way.

So I therefore split my video tracks out again to do a manual edit, but for some reason now the second video track is black screen when I play it. It is black even when I copy it into a new project.

What exactly has happened? Why can I see the second track on the track, but it won't play it? It isn't muted, it doesn't show even if I copy and paste the second track into the first track.

What on earth is going on? I have just wasted 2 hours messing around with this and I can't find anywhere what the issue is. Can someone please help? I really regret using the multicam function in the first place.

Thank you, Jon

I have finally found the issue and seen it has muted the video under switches. Why on earth did it do that? At least it is back now. But what a waste of time!
