Multicamera and colour correction help

Hello
I have finally installed v8 for the mutlicamera editing function and it looks great. I just have one question:
I need to colour correct one of the camera takes - at what point should I perform the correction? When I create a multicamera track for editing, all effects are lost.
After the editing process - the end result is one video track - do I need to add the colour correct fx on each individual clip, or am I missing the most obvious simple way?
Thanks for your help
Paige

You are able to apply color correction to the clip at the project media bin level, and I think that's usually the best way to do it for multi-cam, unless someone changed settings mid shoot ( hate it when that happens, usually don't hire that kinda person again :-/ ).

Thanks Dave - just tried this way and it works!

Adding fx at the project media bin level - the same message still appears when entering multicam mode (effects motion etc will be lost).

Although this way (your way), the fx seem to be lost - but not forgotten! Fx not visible in preview window - but 'magically' take effect during render process.

Thanks again!

I've found that applying FX such as Colour Correction stays there, but does not come through to Preview when in Multi Camera mode. As soon as you toggle multicam off (Ctrl/Shift D) the effects are still there ...

BUT

What a shame! One of the best opportunities to colour correct a clip is when you can see the other camera(s) alongside the clip, and you can see them all in multicamera mode, but you can't see the effect of the effect, so to speak, till you Ctrl/Shift D to see full screen mode again.
