Multicamera file name too big!

My latest multicam project uses mpgs as opposed to avi files, the file titles in the multicam preview windows are huge, so huge you cannot see the footage behind it, with avi files the file name is neatly printed at the bottom of each preview - why the difference and is there anything that I can do to improve the situation? This is my first project using Vegas 9.0d.

I dont have a solution for your file names (Other than shorting them) but I use the Multi cam editing.

I found viewing the multi cam preveiw way to jerky to be effective, but I mostly do Music videos with lots of edits and 9+ cameras. Even with a quad core 8M 64bit machine it just was too slow ( I would love to hear your set up if it isnt like this for you)

The way I work.....
I create a multi camera track for my main sequence (I may have other tracks that I use composite envelopes to bring in and out...)

I don't turn on Multi camera editing while doing preview...

While previewingt/ doing edits.... when I reach a point that I want to switch to another camera, I split the track and move just to the right of the split. I then use T OR Shift T to toggle through the takes until I find the one I want.

At this point I sometimes turn on the multi camera editing to see the multi preview window using Ctrl-Shift + D (This will toggle it on and off) I do this just to see my options, I dont click on the windows to create edits becuase I'm normaly 1 to 2 seconds beyond the desired edit.

I also shoot and edit with multiple cameras/views...I found the multicam feature within Vegas to be cumbersome at best...the combination of 2 plugins, Excalibur and Pluraleyes has made life SO much easier...it's a joy to do multiple camera views now. with Excalibur, you number your tracks, followed by any name you want to give them. what shows up on preview is just the camera (track) #.
