Multiple Delta 44 / 66 cards?

I currently have VV 7.0d and a Delta 44 card as my primary audio capture / playback device. My question is... Can I install another 44 or 66 and add another 4 channels? Will it sync up ok when I record to both cards at the same time, using 6 or 8 simultaneous inputs? What if I use my 2 onboard audio line-in channels (low quality as they are). Does all this sync up ok?

Thanks!

--I am using VV 7.0 with 2 daisy chained edirol-ua 1000s and that is no problem for me... if you can daisy can the 44 or 66 or perhaps have the drivers treat them as one device you should be fine

In order to get the sync correct, you would need to sync the word clock from one to the other. This can be done with the 66 using the SPDIF to sync word clock from one master. It cannot be done with the 44.

What would the symptoms be? Big problems, or minor? Are we talking a major drift over time?

I haven't actually tried it, but I would imagine you would run into clicks and pops, as one card is locked to Vegas and one is a completely separate clock.

Thank you! I think it may be time for an upgrade to a Delta 1010lt from my humble 44.:-) Us drummers gotta have MORE channels, man!
