Multiple Edits

My first project, I'm learning but can't seem to find how to edit multiple photos at the same time! I have 175 still shots, want them all to have the same time length, and transitions, and don't want to do them all individually. I've searched, high and low, searched this site, and seem to be missing this basic fact! HELP, my mouse hand is going numb.

Well, there's some good news and there's some bad news! The bad news is that you can't setup a default transition. You get cross fades though, and I have to say that, very much imho, 175 transitions that were any more elaborate would drive me up the wall! It's a popular request though, so I guess someone loves it.

You can change the default time though. Go to "Options" and then select "Preferences" while holding down the shift key. You'll get an extra tag - "Internal". In the "Select only prefs containing:" box, type "still" (without the quotes. You'll find that the fieldname ntDefVideoStillLength (the default still display time) has a value of 50,000,000 (5 secs). You can set this value to anything between 1 and 600,000,000.

Thank you for the input. I agree with about the transitions, simplicity, ease on the eyes, more than simple crossfades etc, and it's too busy and distracting. With this many photos, I'd rather have them all begin the same, then go back and edit a few special photos or text pages. This project has been a great learning experience, it's my parent's courtship and wedding photos, what a way to jump in feet first!
