multiple events

In editing my video, I have made changes to an early event by shortening it's length. I now want to grab multiple events and move them to my left on the timeline. I cannot seem to figure out how to grab multiple video and audio events and move them at one time. everytime a select a group of events and put my cursor within that selection, it deselects the group and I'm forced to move them one at a time. Any help? this is probably some simple key stroke or command, but I can't seem to find it.

Hi Roxylee:

Right click in the first event you want to move and choose Select Events To End. Then you can move them all at the same time.

You can also use Auto Ripple - it's in your toolbar or use CTRL+L , plus there's a dropdown menu on the button to where you can move all tracks or just one track.

Select All or Events To End works too, it just depends on which clips you want to move and on which tracks.
