Multiple Images...same frame....

I want to reduce the size of an image so that it only takes up half the screen so that I can drop some text on the other side of the screen. Do I have to do the cropping/reduction in another program and save it as a .jpg, or is there some tool in Vegas that will allow me to move that image over after I zoom in on the portion I want to use and crop?

Keep in mind my screen name above and be gentle.

I wish this could be accomplished completely in Pan/Crop, but sadly one can either crop or pan, not do both with completely control.

So, crop in Pan/Crop to get the part of the image you want, then use Track Motion to move that part around in the frame. Note that track motion affects the entire track, not just that image. If you have a bunch of images that you want to do the same thing to then putting them all on their own track is a good thing. Otherwise, you can add keyframes before and after that image to change the track motion from normal to shifted, and then from shifted back to normal.

I'll give this a shot. So I'm assuming it is just as difficult to get two still images to appear on the screen in different places at the same time?

Is this something that is available in Vegas Pro that is not available in my version?

Thanks

Not really difficult, just takes a little getting used to.

In this respect the Pro version and the Studio versions are the same. The only thing the Pro version would give you is unlimited tracks so that you can do more than 4 images at a time.
