Multiple track export

I want to send my project to a REAL (not my little office) studio for a final mix,. Pretty sure they use protools. I have several mono and stereo tracks with SFX, music, etc etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. It appears that to export to AIF it only exports a left and right channel seperated.

Do I have to manually go in and render/export each track and each Right and Left track of each one?

Help?

If I remember correctly ProTools needs separate L and R channels (won't load stereo files). I could be wrong though.
When I export tracks for other studios I manually export/render each track individually.
For stereo tracks I duplicate the track and then right click on each and on the Channels... option make on L and one R and then render them as mono files.
Each track is rendered solo'd so you only export one track at a time.
It's a bit of a hassle but allows you total control on what you export.

Use AAF file export. (Save as) AAF, embed the media files or include separate. I beleve Mac PT supports Wave files. Render a QT movie for reference to save file space, since audio post won't need any hi-res video trk.s and video EDL info. A TC window-burn is a good idea.

ONE THING TO BE AWARE OF with AAF files!!!!!! If an audio trk. contains BOTH Mono and Stereo events.... ALL events on that track will be ignored.
So an individual track should only contain mono OR stereo events... not both.

The latter versions of Avid / PT support AAF, as does FCP and other apps.. Check to make sure the destination software supports it.

addendum: The Avid Legacy mode does not support embeding the audio files, So those files should be copied and imported to the same folder as the AAF in PT or other app.
The other mode supports embedding Wave and AIFC files, not AIFF.
In Vegas 6a anyway.

I exported AAF from Vegas and had it ProTools import.
PT did not normally import it.

I say more concretely.
When it is AAF exported from Vegas, waves cannot be linked
with PT again.

I want must to learn, and export AAF from Vegas and the import method in PT.

It is wave files. It is not WAVES plug-in.
