Think the first step to finding out what the problem may be or if there's a way to do what you want to do would be is not post in caps. It's just bad etiquette.

Might be worth giving it a whirl.

I really doubt it as I just bought a dual Xeon 3Ghz 4 Gig of ram 800 gig raid in a striped config and the system drive is a 10K Raptor drive hyperthreading enabled also tried disabling to see if it helped. I really don't think Vegas uses Multiprocessors very well as I have a P4 3ghz machine and it renders about the same speed as the Xeon in my test's kind of disappointing seems to have no effect with or with out hyperthreading. I hope they work on this since there is no hardware accelerators for vegas they ought too at least have a better implementation for dual processors.

Running low on punctuation, Shogo? Still, it's better than shouting.

As I understand it, Vegas makes very primitive use of MP. It will render video on one CPU and audio on the other. Guess which finishes first?

You can get away with opening Vegas twice and starting two renders. That works well, I hear.
