Thanks for your response. I'll check it out. I was able to simul-record in Cakewalk, which gives you an option to enable simul-record capabilities, if your sound card is able to duplex. Since I am just starting out with computer multitracking I may just stay with Cakewalk and leave VEGAS for Video duty.

I agree - don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. For audio anyway (I don't do video), nothing beats Vegas for multi track recording and editing. If you need to do a lot of midi with your audio, Cakewalk does that well and I wish Vegas did too. But in my opinion at least, nothing beats Vegas for grabbing and editing audio. I can't think of a better app for learning how to multi-track record on a computer, possibly because that's how I learned it.

I second that. I've personally stopped mixing in sonar 2.2 to do all my work in vegas 4. Honest. Your passing up something huge just because you didn't RTFM!!! Ask away and we'll get you started.
