I legaly downloaded a song from MusicMatch for a personal project (vacation video)., but it won't got into the Vegas timeline. I gives me an error message (error 0xc00d0bbd....WMA coul not be opened) The song is on "My Music" folder with the WMP icon.
Is there a way it can be used by Vegas or is it protected so it can not be used for other projects except for jus listening on your computer.

It's probably protected. You could play it in Media Player while recording the mixed output of the sound card with Vegas. Perhaps you could burn it to an audio CD-R and rip it back from the disc.

Another option is to convert it to a .wav file (or .aiff, etc.) in Media Player or any other conversion program you might have which would play it.
