I've looked all over for music to add to my movies, mostly just cool, quick music tracks for intro's. I'm afraid to purchase because i'm really green at computers, maybe i'll buy something thats not compatible? I dont know. So just looking to be pointed in a good direction for easily installed, intro music. So i can find it and easily pull it into my projects. I've tried downloading free stuff, but could never retrieve it once i'm in vegas. I just got Movie Studio 10 hd platinum, Good stuff, im a total new guy, but i've done some stuff that folks seem to enjoy, now people are paying me to do video's for them, Awesome. Hunting and Fishing video's. Thanks for your help........and remember, If your not "Livin' Outdoors", Your not "Livin".

Hello Red and welcome!

Here are some links to music that is A) good, B) royalty free, and C) FREE!

Jason Shaw

Kevin McLeod

Did I mention it is free? But you are on the hook to list the artist in your credits if you use the music in a commercial or public presentation. Easy.

I use their music for many of my projects.

As far as how to add the music to your projects, just find it with your explorer and drag it to the audio track. Easy too.

Regards,

Kimberly

Don't worry .. Vegas will accept most common music files.

I've tried downloading free stuff, but could never retrieve it once i'm in vegas.

I think the problem is that you didn't pay attention to where the file was stored when you downloaded it. If you can find it in Windows Explorer (I assume you're not on a Mac) you can find it in Vegas. OR, at the very least, you can drag it from the Windows Explorer window into the Vegas timeline.

There are places for free music, but I don't remember them. I recently found this place http://www.jewelbeat.com/ that seems a good resource.

One of the reasons I absolutely loved the Cinescore AutoGeneration music process from previous versions of VMS...
