Music to match movements

How do I make my music match movements?
I would like my sound track matches an event.
Let's say in the presentation I would like the music to make a "bang" a the right moment when the names are presented on the scroll....It has to be coordonated somehow with the CD sound track...
No idea, new field...
Chienworks has great ideas for the novice...
By the way, what is the best work flow in editing?
Edit, titles, music or?
I used to do the whole thing manually and now venture into the computerized way....
Thanks to Chienworks...who encouraged me to download the trial version of VF2.0
and guess what?? I got it...1 week ago...
I downloaded the VF 2.0c I hope it won't mess up my CD version...for what I read it shouldn't...

It's a lot easier to chop up and push around video events than to try to chop up music and still have it sound good. Until you get really experienced at audio editing, probably the best method is to lay down the audio track you want first, then drop the video events on the timeline to line up as you wish with the music.

Generally i'll do a very fast rough edit of the video, then create a soundtrack (music & effects) to go with it, then take my time rearranging the video clips to fit the music, then finish off with titles.

Thanks a billion. I just got the messages and I have to digest them...
