Try converting the mp3 files to wav if you want accurate sync.

The damage has already been done. I just need your advice on the full process of a music video for ensuring perfect audio sync. From pre video shoot to post production?

Use 48kHz PCM (.wav) audio files. Prior to shooting, it's a good idea to re-sample audo to 48kHz, for instance if it came off an audio CD (44.1k). The MP3 format should be  a v o i d e d .

To make sure i understand u mean During the shoot i should use a 48 khz wav than use the same format during edit?

You should use the same audio file through the whole process. Since final delivery is 48k, you should start with that.
