Music volume loss

Hi, I'm using Vegas movie studio 16. I create music videos. My problem is that when I import music I am getting significant volume loss. When I'm done editing and I render, I get further volume loss. This is too the point where the original master track that was very punchy and -9 Lufs.. is not even punchy at all on the rendered video and losing probably a quarter of its volume.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Are there any Fx on the audio at the track level? If so remove them.

The is the Vegas Pro forum, your topic should have been posted on Vegas Movie Studio

That said: I am not sure about VMS, but confirm the 'track volume fader is set to unity gain (0.0 dB); Event's gain is at Max (drag from top to attenuate displays blue line) and there is no Track volume envelope attenuating the volume.
Try normalizing the audio 'event', (right-click the event Select Properties and check mark Normalize (IF.. VMS has the option),
Otherwise, your other player (or alternate audio device driver) could be boosting the volume.

btw, the 'recommended' streaming loudness for music is -14 LUFS (integrated) and approx. -24 LUFS broadcast TV submissions (depending on ATSC or EBU)
