Musman? frameserve . . isn't!

Hiyah .. I've got 2 errors stopping signpost being made.

"Once you have it installed in Vegas make a region around the area you want to export or the whole project if that's what you want and go render as- debugmode avi. Here I rename the file to something that says debugmode on it just so I can find it more quickly. Anyway, just pick a place you want this 'signpost' file to go and click 'save'. You're then given some setup options. I choose RGB 32 and don't mess with anything else (but check with Satish's forums to see if you should use RGB 24 or the YUV options). But RGB 32 has always worked for me. Then just click next and your 'sign post' file will be created where you designated it."

I can send you the Screen Grabs. Anyways . . it is not happening . .

TIA

Grazie

Grazie (hoping all is well with you and yours),

I've been working the frameserver based on the VASST tutorial re: serving to Nero Recode for H.264. FYI, frameserving m2t timeline composed via Gearshift causes Nero to crash!

Pretty sure it's a issue of trying to frameserve the native m2t - probably will have to render to a HD intermediate.

Point is, frameserver has worked with me with Vegas 5b. But I haven't had much success yet with 6b? Think it's an issue?

Hiyah Grobsie! We're fine .. I'll email about London .. .

Oh really! ! Not working for V6b? I'm not HD-ing .. I'm wanting to get up and running with BG3.

I'll go see if it works with V5 ...

YES it does! Hmmm.... FS in Vegas 6 aint doing it for me.

Vgeas 5 yes . .well something is working .. but it HAS made the avi file .. is it supposed to make an AVI I thought it was suppose NOT to.?!?

I think the AVI tag identifies the file to deceive the receiving program . . . frameserver is mimicing a rendered AVI from the Vegas timeline.

Saw your other post re V5 and V6. Will try to stay awake to see how this plays out.

Just downloaded the 6.0b update, installed it, and tried to frameserve. Worked fine. I was able to open the created AVI file in media player and play it normally. What are the errors you see? Possible to post a link to screenshots?

satish: mine may be a special case. I'm importing m2t files and using Gearshift to a proxy. Replace proxy with m2t file. Then I've been trying to use the tutorial:

http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/articles/frameserve.htm

to frameserve out to Nero Recode for H.264 conversion and burning.

It simply crashes Nero. I don't know where the problem(s) are as I haven't had time for more conventional frameserving, nor can I find an error log.

Satish - how do I send you an attachment? I sent you an email asking the same from your FS Forum too. What do I do next? You can email me and give me an email I can then attach these errors to. Yes?

I too am using Vegas 6b build 115.

TIA,
