Mutli channel audio capture via 1394 W/ cannon gl2

I have a Cannon GL2, and when it's set to 12-bit(32khz/4 CH) for audio I should be able to capture 4 channel audio. I have a tape that I have done this with. However Vegas 4 doesn't appear to see it. Now in all likely hood I don't have something configured properly, and I find that the manual is lacking since it doesn't explain how to set this up. So Sonic Foundry, Help a brother out. You told me this would be a feature, where is it? I can't find it.

I know this isn't going to help your problem. But I have a GL2 also and I was curious how you captured 4 channels of audio with only two inputs. I haven't had a need for this yet so I hadn't really explored the idea. I'm just curious.

Also I don't recall seeing that Vegas 4 would support 4 channel DV. But maybe I just missed it since I wasn't looking for it.

You have to capture channel 1 & 2 first, then flip the switch and then
capture channel 3 & 4.

Vegas does not have the capability to capture 3/4. To capture it, use Scenalyzer Live. It will capture Video + 1/2 into an AVI file while simultaneously capturing 3/4 into a spearate WAV file. It works great for multi-channel audio. (plus, it only costs $33).

Not currently supported. We're aware of the need, and we're looking into it. I'm sorry you think you were promised this capability, but I rather doubt it.
