Mutlicam bug or operator error?

I've been using the Vegas 8 multicam feature a lot but have recently run into a problem - the surround glow that shows which camera is active in the preview window no longer switches when I switch cameras.

The edit is made on the timeline but the preview window doesn't reflect the change by switching the surround glow to the correct camera.

This is with either clicking on the preview window or using control keys to switch cameras.

At first when this started happening I could exit Vegas, come back in and it would be working again but recently even this doesn't restore the functionality.

Any clues?

Did you try reinstalling Vegas?

I was thinking of doing that but since then I came across a couple of posts by other users with the same problem, one of whom re-installed and it made no difference.

Hmmmm, I didn't come across those. I'm concerned because multicam is a very important facet of my work.

How many cameras were you working when this problem crept up? I regularly use three, so far with no problems.

Mostly two, no more than three, but like another user, today it's back to working normally.
