I'm stuck with a project that will only allow rendering to a .mxf file. How can I use that file to make dvds? I tried it once before and no dvd program including Sony DVD Architect woud recognize it.
There's definitely something wrong if a project only lets you render an MXF file but I'm sure you already know that.
Bring the rendered MXF file into a brand new project, render out your MPEG-2 and AC-3 files and build your DVD after that.

On the RENDER AS options screen, make sure you have unchecked MATCH PROJECT SETTINGS under OUTPUT FORMAT>
I will try that. What's strange is I started having this trouble on my main computer, so I bought another Windows 7 computer with nothing on it to interfere with Vegas Pro, and this happened even with a clip that I had been able to render in the past. Is there a way to specify the media when loading it that's best with the options to match the project to the media or not, or maybe other settings? I loaded Pro 12 from the disk but didn't do any update on it yet (needed to run an internet cable to it).
