I not shure if this is of real help, but why not use the Vegas explorer to list files by date of creation, drag them in the timeline, and re-render? I don't know if some smart rendering is possible with MXF...

You can also list files by date in Win explorer and right-click "rename" with a base name.

I've noticed VP10a (64 bit) with latest Raylight Ultra does this for some reason by default. VP9 doesn't. I just click the modified bar in explorer to get them back in the correct order - even though I haven't been able to actually use 10a yet due to the Raylight issues. Still waiting on DVFilm to update it.

If you mean the problem with image stabilizer, that issue will not be corrected until Ultra can export P2 MXF files directly from the timelime (stabilizer apparently only works with file formats that Vegas can export). That is planned for Ultra release 1.3. It may be 2011 before 1.3 is released since the P2 export has many new features to test.

Any closer on Ultra 1.3?

Dan, not sure if this applies in your case but with the Panaxonic HMC150 I use the Vegas Device Explorer to import media from the card. It renames them to ensure unique names across cards AND joins clips that were split in the camera due to 4GB limit for FAT.

Dan, I found a great free program for renaming clips and stills according to the date taken. I was having a real headache sorting files into order from various cameras. This utility works well but use it straight from your memory card before you copy or transfer files. The utility is called "Bulk Rename Utility" and I found it here - http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php.
