mxf source footage to mxf as intermediate

Hi all,

sorry about my lack of teck knowledge here, but I was wondering if exporting my FS7 based compositing project to the Sony mxf 50mb/s as an intermediate file in order to have a better workflow for music synchronisation and subtitles will result in some form of quality loss?

It will be rendered to magix AVC as an end product.

Thanks!

If your FS7 footage is 4k, then it's a downgrade to HD because that Sony MXF is XDCAM HD. Further loss is more kind of mathematically and should be considered to be visually lossless until a certain render cycle is exceeded.
