Hello-
My computer crashes.
A new computer is built.
Veg files & source files are now transferred.
Loading veg file, the file references are all changed.
Half hour project- many, many files, but organized in logical groups.
Question:
What is the fastest way to reconnect the veg to its source files?
Script?
Thank you in advance.

re-label the drive letters the same - as well as the source folder names

thankx- How do I know the original paths (e.g. D:\Vid\a\b )
if I cannot open the veg file?

if you open the veg file -- it will tell you the missing path .. write them down ...or point to new location is just as easy (maybe)

that is if you didnt make note of it before you rebuilt your system, as is the norm ..

Thanks for the help. I'll get to it....
As for the norm goes - well - no...I didn't consistently do it.
It was one of my first projects a couple of years ago and I have pictures loading from internal drives, mypictures, network drives, all over.
I guess I have to do it the hard way now.

You can let it search for the files too.

However, if you put stuff in the same/simular places as before, you could juts point back to those places.
