Before you shout at me, I'm sorry. I know it's been posted before, I've searched and searched, and all I can find it the correct registry change that needs to be made - problem is, I don't know how to access the registry info to make the needed change!

I'm refering to the RENDER AS --> CUSTOM SETTINGS button not working classic problem. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction as to this solution? Like i said, I'm pretty sure it's a registry thing, but I'm honestly not even sure HOW to get to that screen that I need to in order to make the change.

Start/Run Type in "regedit" without the quotes. Hit OK.

This will launch the registry editor to make the necessary registry key changes.

The location in the web site is not correct. Here's a screenshot of where it is in my registry (Win XP Pro).

It's still under
HKEY
LOCAL_MACHINE
Software

The slashes had gotten stripped for some reason. They have been re-added so the entry on my site should now be correct. Also, "Sony" was changed to "Sony Media Software".
