To answer [r]Evolution's question... It's about how many people view the video. Akai Pro is basically paying five "winner's" with a piece of equipment to advertise the equipment. It matters not how good or entertaining the video is. I wouldn't call it a popularity contest. I would say it's a contest to see who can put their product in front of the most sets of eyeballs.
I feel like because I took the time to write a jingle/rap and film the reason I need that piece of equipment and I've now gotten over 500 views in a week, I've done enough to earn a chance.
