My movie won't render after frame 3735!!!

Somebody Help me please!

I have a movie in Vegas Video 3, which has around 32 tracks, with videos and audio and mp3 tracks. The project template is PAL VCD, with upper field order. The movie is around 52 minutes long.

At first I rendered it...and it renbdered completly. But now after a few days, when I am trying to render my final movie version, but Vegas sort of hangs on frame 3735. I tried selecting a small region, which consisted of this frame...and this small clip rendered perfectly! Why is this happening?

I have a PIII 933 Mhz, 256 mb ram.

I need to display my movie tomorrow morning...this is already 11:00 pm here.

Somebody please help me ASAP!

Thanks.

How is your drive space situation?
Is it a Fat32 formated drive or NTFS?

To begin, I am rendering to Mainconcept mpeg1 format.

OK initially I was rendering to the same drive which had all my video clips drive K:...this has 12 GB free.

Now i tried rendering to drive d: this has 2 GB free...same problem this time too :(

both are fat32...i am using windows XP professional

Just now I tried to render after frame 3735, but again vegas stopped responding after making a mpg file of 14.6 MB. Last time the movie made till frame 3735 was 24.4 MB. :(

whats happening?

This is a true incarnation of Murphy's Law....I mean I didn't face a single problem from Vegas...and just when I need to give a presentation...it stopped rendering????

Now I have tried 3 times to render from start(complete project) and even rebooted, and shut off my antivirus, mysql server etc. and every time i get stuck at frame 3735 :(

I believe you need to have your harddrive configured for NTFS to support files sizes larger than 2 gig.

Actually it's 4GB, not 2Gb. But in any case, a 52 minute MPEG file is
rarely going to go over this size, even at DVD quality, and we're seeing
this puppy hang at under 30MB. Very strange.

WK, just for kicks, zoom way in on the timeline, split your event just
before and after this frame, remove the frame, and then stretch (NOT
trim) one side or the other (whichever is longer) out to cover the gap,
or use ripple edit to just simply eliminate that 1/30 second completely.
Now try rendering. You will now have eliminated that troublesome frame.
It might have gotten corrupted in the source file and Vegas might be
hiccupping on it.

Just wondering- is there an MP3 on the timeline somewhere? If so, try rendering that MP3 as .wav, and replace the mp3(s). Kind of a guess but I've heard one other report of this.

Can't get the VCD render to stall here under any condition.

Sounds like there is a time selection made and it is rendering the loop only. Uncheck the render loop region check box. Sometimes I forget to clear the loop region or I don't notice that I have a selection made.

Kinda like, Is it plugged in?

Yes I do happen to have some MP3s...but as I said, previously once I did render the movie without any problems. The movie had mp3 tracks then too.

This puppy would like to point you to my original message, where I already mentioned that I have already tried to render a small loop, consisting of that frame....and that loop rendered prefectly.

Before proceeding, I should mention that I tried reparing the Vegas installation and have even uninstalled, booted, and reinstalled vegas...but in no vain.

I needed to submit my presentation today morning, so I finally got a workaround to work for me.

Instead of rendering to mpeg1, I rendered to an AVI using indeo5....and the movie rendered successfully.

Which means the MPEG1(mainconcept) encoder engine was the one acting funny.

My movie stands rendered and finally enmcoded as a video cd by Nero, but still I fail to understand why suddenly MPEG1 can't be rendered.
