my own thumb frame in DVD-A HELP

So How do I get DVD-a to recognize thumbnail frames that I create? Where do I put them? How do I name them?

Does anybody find the process of creating/modifying themes, thumbs and buttons overy complicated? I mean XML to create a theme? DVD-a is like the anti-Vegas as far as ease of use. That is if you want to use your own artwork.

I'm not sure which application you are using - but the DVDA that I use is very simple to use your own artwork for thumbnails.

You simply highlight the item you want - go over to the right hand side of the screen where it says "Thumbnail"...and click the browse button - and choose any picture you want.

Done.

No special naming. No speacial putting anyplace. Very point-n-click.

You may want to pick up DVDA from Sony (Sonic Fondary). And then, for the heck of it, download the manual too. And then dumb what ever hard application you are using right down the crapper.

I'm sorry maybe I wan't clear. I am using DVD-A. I have a thumbnail of an MPG that is linked on the menu. I want to use a Frame that I created for that thumbnail. The frame is saved as a PNG file and placed in the _themes directory for DVD-A but it is not showing up in the Object Frames drop down list.

Am I the only one to not be able to use my own custom Object frames?

Maybe you are. Have you thought about posting this question into the DVDA forum rather than here?

I only briefly looked at the documentation for creating themes... to the extent that it looked possible for me to get the hang of it (but then my background is IT development so stuff like XML is not all that difficult to me).

I cannot comment on how DVDA might compare with other DVD authoring tools as far as how it allows for new templates to be created by end users.

Point taken. I had hit a wall with my work and was frustrated with this "hitch" I ran across. I thought I could get a faster answer here since it is much more active and many here use DVD-A.
