I bought a copy of Magix 21 Pro in 2024 for £200 and it is now unusable. Everything has slowed down and finally stopped. I am rendering Sony camera video files from a camera designed 3 years ago. Until recently it would work just about, taking ages just to render a simple short video with no FX or transitions, now it can't even do that.

I'm in the middle of completing assignments for my course so it came at the worst possible time. Now I have zero faith in Magix products, you can't even submit a support form because they make it so unbelievably difficult.

I wonder who acquired Sony Movie Platinum 13, because I also bought that in 2015 and it also has stopped accepting registration requests, making it also unusable.

It is such a shame because I can clearly remember using Sony Vegas in 2012 to render 1080p videos and it was a joy to use.

Currently trying frantically to climb the steep learning curve of free Davinci Resolve. I don't know how to use it but it was strange how after installation it automatically played my Sony camera videos without a hitch. Don't think Magix Vegas is going to work for me. Anybody got any suggestions for alternatives? Expecting a reply from Magix but I'm not holding my breath since they make it so hard to contact them.
