My sony vegas dont close

I use sony vegas pro 13 and when i opened it sony vegas tried to open the project i was doing before normally but when it reached 6% it crashed and now it doesn't close anymore, the only way i found was to use the task manager but i have afraid of losing what i have saved, what do i do? i am in the windows 7 pro

Just make sure you have a backup of the VEG file and you won't lose anything.

Then you might move all of the video files to a different folder. Now open the VEG file ignoring the missing files. Then reattach them back in one by one.

And it's also a really good idea to regularly incrementally rename the project (e.g. ProjectName1.veg, ProjectName2.veg, ProjectName3.veg, etc) so that if a veg does corrupt, you've got an earlier .veg to go back to without having to edit the entire project from the start again.

Also a really good idea is to have a copy of not only the .veg files but all the media and project folders on at least one external hard drive (portable or desktop) just in case the hard drive or SSD in your computer fails.
