My support ticket was closed - is upgrade to 21 the full software

I have been having I/O issues a lot and my support ticket was closed after I told them I was coming back. So I am annoyed. I am thinking I need to uninstall 21 and then reinstall. I have a link for when I moved from 20 to 21 but it says it is an upgrade. Will that be the full package? I figure I need to go through the updates after but want to make sure it will actually install properly. I have been trying to get assistance for a couple weeks and was making progress but someone decided to close it at Vegas.

I was told to just get 22 but it is hard to trust getting upgrade for a program that crashes a lot if the one I have isn't really stable.

So annoying. I just want to make a movie.

Anyway,. will my upgrade link to 21 give me the full program and add ons ( mocha, primatte)?

Thank you

Douglas

I don't really understand the question. If you have a link and a license for VP 21 or 20 you can install it and it is the full version of the program. "upgrade" is just discounted pricing for existing users, the program is the same.

You can also download all files here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

As to what addons you are entitled to, it depends on what package you bought (Pro Suite?)

Also, if you're wanting to check on 22's stability, there is a demo you can download (just download the app and don't put in a serial number, it should open in demo mode IIRC). You're limited to 2 minute renders that have a watermark on them, but every other function will work as it should for a month.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Thanks, though it annoys me having to pay to have a solution that should be worked out before.

would you have a link to the demo?

@Douglas-McCarron : VEGAS Pro 22 build 93

Personally I'd demo it after the first bug patch is released.

Ok. For now I am trying to back up my presets and part of my project before I try to uninstall and reinstall 21. Take a day or so.

Surprisingly i still use Sony Preset Manager 2.0 to backup, save or transfer my customized videofx & transition presets.

I have looked for it but not found it. Anyway I was able to make a combined WAV file of all 13 dialogue tracks and am now using one, which has the results of effects but not the effect to overload my system. So that now works.

Sony Preset Manager 2.0k (build 114)

Thank you for this

The ticket was reopened. I got some info but essentially I think I overwhelmed the software with all the effects and snippets. I was able to render the 11 audio tracks into one, then delete the 11 tracks and reload the one which has the results of the effects but no effects. That helped a lot.
