MY VIDEO STUTTERS

I HAD SOME TROUBLE A WHILE BACK AND I GOT MY SYSTEM UP AND RUNNING AND IT WAS WORKING GREAT AND THEN THIS MORNING I TRY TO EDIT SOME VIDEO AND ALL I GET IS ABOUT A HALF SECOND STUTTER ON THE SAME FRAME AND IT NEVER CHANGES IT JUST SITS THERE AND STUTTERS, WONT PLAY ANY THING THAT I HAVE IN MY FILES OR RECORDING FROM MY ZR-10 WHICH BY THE WAY HAS BEEN WORKING SEAMLESSLY WITH VEGAS ! ... BUT CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME GET BACK ON TRACK?!!! PS I'M TRYING TO MAKE A BUSINESS OF THIS SO AN ANSWER AS FAST AS POSSIBLE WOULD MEAN SO MUCH TO ME! ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU IN ADVANCE AND I'LL BE WAITING FOR A REPLY....... NORTICASTER@AOL.COM

I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT I JUST INSTALLED NORTON UTILITIES TO HELP DEFRAG AND SUCH BUT I AM NOT HOOKED UP TO THE INTERNET, THERE IS NOT EVEN A MODEM! DO YOU THINK MAYBE NORTON HAS REARRANGED MY PROPERTIES OR PREFERENCES, I AM A FAIRLY NEW GUY TO THE COMPUTER WORLD SO ANY KIND OF HELP TO PUT ME BACK ON TRACK WOULD BE WONDERFUL!! ps SONY HAS YET TO CONTACT ME IN ANYWAY SO I AM IN THE DARK!!
PS I HAVE DVD VEGAS AS WELL AND IT DOES THE SAME THING BUT MY PINNACLE 8.6 WORKS JUST FINE BUT IT IS NOT ON THE LEVEL THAT I'M LOOKING FOR I THOUGHT VEGAS WAS MY ANSWER BUT NOW... WHEW!!!

First of all, TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK.

Second, you probably just have a time selection looping on. Turn that off by hitting the loop button which is next to the record button in the transport controls (or hit q), and you should be fine.

thank you gkvideoguy for the advice, i made triple sure all of my loops were off but i did not think about the caps button, but when i went in to the studio after i read your message i thought i would go through the procedure again
and for some unknown reason it was working... BUT... i started getting buffer run warnings and nothing would play and i mean nothing!!! so, distraught, i took some footage from my dv put it down and went through the whole thing through dvd architect and it worked beautiful!! i don't know what gremlins i had but thank you for answering my question!! as for liam_ vegas
no, i do not know any stunner and i don't get the humor to post it for "your own amusement" what does that mean? fill me in so i can laugh too!!
