If so, I hope Sony has made a few small repairs.

The questions remain:

1. Are the major quirks ironed out?
2. When does d land on our desktops?

Christian

PS: Cross my fingers and hope for the best...

SCS have confirmed some time ago 9.0d will be on show at NAB 2010. When we can get our hands on it is anyones guess. Based on past experience I'd say during NAB but then again.....

As for the real Sony, they might have a 422 XDCAM EX camera on show. Nice for those with deep pockets.

Oh now what they WILL have on show is a new solid state recording system for HDCAM SR. Something like 1TB/sec write speed. Don't ask, we cannot afford it.

Bob.

I hope SCS will announce a replacement for Cinescore.

From the November 2009 Newsletter: "Cinescore continues to create exciting soundtracks worldwide, but it's time to move forward. We're currently developing next generation music creation technology and the current version of Cinescore will be the last."

I too hope a replacement will be announced but I fear it's still too early in the development stage.

Don't forget Dweezil Zappa's performance at the Vegas Users event on April 12th.... :-)

Lotsa great stuff to be announced, no boring/long keynote speaker, just good food, fun performance this year, and lots of socializing for everyone. Oh, and the fun giveaways.

Look at Convergent Design for some cool new tools, look at RED, look to the new Sony AVCHD cams in the pro lineup, and more. Some new displays, 3D tech, and storage/transfer devices will be a highlights of the show, IMO.

And don't forget the outrageously overpriced and virtually inedible hot dogs and hamburgers inside the NAB halls! The food at the SCS user's Event is usually quite good.

Woo-hoo! I'm in. Missed it last year but not this year. Hope to see old friends at the Vegas Users event...a.k.a. PARTY! Don't forget to register over at the VASST site.

Have fun those of you that are able to attend. And please remember the rest of us that are eagerly waiting for news :)
