NAB Demos on DVD or VCD?

I'm sitting out here on a sailboat in the Carribean on an old, borrowed Compaq running Win98 with a dial-up connection. Ok, I've bought the upgrade and it'll be waiting for me when I get home in another 3 weeks. I'd pay to be able to see the NAB demos when I get there! Sounds like a great intro to all the new stuff that I've only been reading about.

Ooops. Just saw the post on the dial-up files. Still not an option for me here.

How 'bout that? On vaca and can't wait to get home! Thanks alot Sony!

No, I really mean it. Thanks a lot, Sony. Darryl

"I'm sitting out here on a sailboat in the Carribean ..."

Sitting on a boat in the Carribean and thinking of Vegas. We're worse than the Mac heads! :)

Hope no one had their honeymoon during NAB. I could already tell you that marriage is on the rocks!

I know there's been some requests to have the presentations on CD / DVD. I'm sure it's gotta be approved by the Sony gang but I guess with enough requests, the SoCal Vegas guys may make something available... not sure though.

There are no plans to make a DVD of the seminars available.

Doing so would require quite a bit of additional effort and we would then start to get into how much you would need to pay for the DVD's (even just to cover "costs").

We did not go into this with a view to exchanging <any> money along the way. In fact we explicitely stated/agreed with Sony that what we produce would be provided FREE and not sold for private/commercial use in any medium.

I do however appreciate the interest you have in a DVD of the seminars.... but I would recommend you look at getting the tutorial DVD's that will be coming out soon from SPOT / Gary Kleiner / Tim Duncan.

I understand. Hope the NAB sites are still up when I can get to them via the posts.

It would be cool if the new DVDs focused on the new features, having already worked my way through the V4 set.

Yeessh, it's hot! Time for a swim. <( :-) Darryl

The video's will stay up indefinitely (on my server anyway). So no problem... when you come back from your swim... they will still be there.
