A few little "wrinkles" in our plan have delayed the uploading of the rendered video to the web site.
We had not quite finished the encoding of the video to WMV while at the show this afternoon. We had to leave there (as the area was closing at 6pm). Now I find there seems to be no easy (by that I mean other than the huge-hotel-marked-up-high-speed-internet-rate) way to get the over 160Mb of files uploaded tonight.
I will be using the Sony internett connection at NAB tomorrow morning to upload these files. I hope they don't mind (or even notice) me using <their> bandwidth to do this :-) If there is any further problem I will upload the files from home when I get back tomorrow evening.
So... sorry for the delay... we'll get it to you ASAP.
Let me publicly thank the following people for their efforts in making this possible.
Video capture: Ronald Rennie, Scott Carpenter
Editing: Matt Reason (DVDA2 seminar)
I worked on the video capture for the DVDA2 seminar (which was the first seminar in the day we captured), then Ron and Scott completed the capture of the V5 seminar while Matt Reason and I started the capture of the two tapes from the DVDA2 seminar.
Matt Reason did a fantastic job of quickly editing the DVDA2 seminar (he is definitely a vegas wizard).... and I finished off the work on the V5 Advanced video.
Thanks of course to Jay for making this all possible by working things out with Sony.
Now... if only I had a bit faster laptop than my 1.8Ghz(and we had been using DV hard drives instead of tapes)we may have had a chance of getting the video done when I had orignally planned.
Oh well... not long to wait (I hope).
