Good for you Ben, a really silly question :) After all the bug
reports and whining we've all been through, it's refreshing to have
an unserious post on the board...so here's my first stab. It seems
The Pres of Sonic Foundry and some of his buds were on a celebration
trip to "Sin City", you know a bonus trip to celebrate the success of
Acid. But the ugly secret that no one wanted to talk about was that
even though SF was publicly traded on Amex, and with successful
products in the stable they just were not capitalized enough for this
damn multitrack that everyone else and his brother was coming on
market with. What to do, I mean a high of twelve dollars a share and
some days not even making the 'above the line traded' list on Amex
just wasn't filling the development cofers...what to do indeed! Wait
a minute, the Pres says, I just got this new Video on a card
counting, sure fire, can't lose, they'll never catch you system of
Craps, Black Jack, Keno AND Bacarat! Well the rest is as they say
history, the team had a GOOD night in the 'City of Fear and Loathing'
and they returned to the upper Midwest fat, happy and well funded and
with a new name for this Goddam multitrack thing...and so "Vegas" was
born. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! What's yours!
