Nasty clicks and pops

Hey everyone please help...

ok I have the C-Port DSP2000 and im running VV3 what im doing is recording keyboards stereo then going back and doing guitar and bass and I keep getting nasty clicks and pops real high pitch like somethings breaking up, it dosent do it all of the time but I havent a clue where to begin looking for the problum any ideas???

I've had a similar problem -- I recorded VHS to MiniDV, then caputured to VV. I get random distorted loud clicks that are usually less than a frame in length. The really weird thing is that even after I have used an audio envelope to eliminate them, they will occasionally come back somewhere else in the timeline. I wonder if my hard drive is the culprit? Also, while I know that VV does not alter the media files, but could it be doing something to corrupt the file?
