nasty clicks with AC3 rendering

When I preview an AC3 file rendered in vegas through dvd architect there is a clicking sound all the way through.Any ideas?Sound is outputted from S/PDIF digital out from M-audio audiophile2496 sound card.

Interesting, I notice that when I preview my AC3 tracks through my SB Live! 5.1 card, that I get clicks and pops too. However, the final DVD plays without them.

Have you checked your final (hopefully DVD-RW or +RW) to see if the DVD plays fine?

Same here (MAYA 44) don´t think its depending of audio card.
But its only on preview in DVDA never when playing the burned disc.
Would be interesting to hear So Fo comment on this anyhow.

I have no problems previewing AC-3 rendered in Vegas. However I do have a problem previewing Mpeg video files. I get a slight hesitation in video about every 3-4 seconds. I have sent a request into So Fo but have not recieved a reply yet. Burned product seems just fine.

I had problems listening to AC3 sound in preview mode. Then I changed the preview quality in the top right corner to Half-size and the AC3 sound played without problems. Try toggling between Quarter-size, Half-size, Full Resolution, and Production Quality. I think this is due to overall computer performance.

I've not tried to burn a DVD yet ('cause I have no burner) but I played a prepared file in my software DVD-player with no problems sound- or picturewise.
