Neat Video splitting screen under one circumstance.

Hi, I'm wondering if someone else could try this and looking for thoughts if this is a Vegas or Neat Video problem.

If I have a 1080 50i timeline, and I place a 25p clip on it, then if I add to the 25p clip, the FX of Neat Video (4.2 and 4.5 tested) to the Event FX it works fine. But, if I add the Neat video FX to the Project media, as one has to if doing it post multicam edit, then the screen is cut in two and the left and right swapped. This it the only circumstance that I can make this happen, and it is what I really want to do.

Looks like i'll have to render that clip with neat video and replace the original file.

Interesting.

Here no problem with progressive nor interlaced file in a 25i project and Neat 2.6, also not on external monitor

No problem here either. Used 1080 50i timeline properties with 1080 50i media event on timeline. Then added 1080 25p event to timeline - applied Neat Video Version 4.5 to 1080 25p event as "media FX" .. no split screen occurred. All normal. Not using external monitor.

i've got the same (vegas 14 + neat video 4.5)

however, it only appears to happen in good/best preview quality - if you change to preview / draft it's ok. it's also ok in best/good (but at half/quarter)

Thanks redpaw. On mine it happened on good/best only in Full mode. I normally run in preview/auto mode but had changed it to best to check out the denoise quality and thats when I noticed the split/swap screen. I did a test and it rendered OK too.

sorry, i made that sentence a bit confusing - yes it's best/good only... the "best/good preview quality" meant that it's the setting that preview is set to, not that it's in the preview quality. hope i didnt make it even more confusing now, but basically, it's the same as in your case. i'm on radeon, maybe it's nvidia vs radeon thingy if not everyone gets it ?

I'm on AMD Radeon, Vegas 14 -- just had the same problem happen to me. Preview is fine regardless of preview quality. Rendering to Good/Best gives split problem.. Neat version 4.5.

Source clip is 1920x1080x12, 29.97 fps, progressive

Installed 4.7 update, re-opened project and rendered -- Problem Solved!
