Need Advice for New PC

Hi all,

I am thinking about purchasing a new PC or having one built specifically for editing video using Vegas. My current system has been giving me fits and breaking down too often and I have become too frustrated with it to continue repairing it.

The new PC must edit at least 60 minute videos and burn them to DVD. Have lightscribe capabilities too, and use XP Home OS.

My question is: If you were to build/purchase a PC for capturing/editing large video files, what would you want? Price range $1000-$3500.

Any ideas??? Thanks!

Joel

they build machines with the software installed - Tsunami or Riptide - I don't run one of them, but if I'm behave myself, Santa might bring me one this year...

Until that time... Earl J.

There are lots and lots and lots of threads on this forum about this very subject. Do a search on "PC" or "system" or "Intel" or "AMD" and you'll get scores of hits.

Here's a new HP system with Lightscribe, 160 GB HD and a Intel Core 2 Duo processor, all for a measly $899.
