Need advice from pros

I'm at an unexpected break in employment... and am once again thinking about what I want to do when, and if, I grow up. I have been using VV3 (and am waiting for V4 to arrive) for creating geewhiz video productions for my friends and family. It's been a great excuse to buy some really fun toys. I think I am ready to spend some of that severance (no, it's "separation" now) package for some REALLY cool toys and hang up a shingle.

My question is, can you recommend a source for information and knowledge about how to actually run a video production biz, i.e. how to find gigs (that age-old question)? Wedding videography seems to be too inexpensive to make a good living on. So what about other professional gigs? Clearly, Vegas is a great tool and can stand up to almost everything I will need to do.

Thanks for taking the time to give me some advice! If you would rather send an email than post it's jeff.willard@technicline.com
