Need advice on new computer

I'm looking to get a dual system (though I wouldn't rule out a powerful single CPU) and need help with selection of Motherboard/CPU.

Does Vegas effectively utilize the 2 processor system? How does the RAM buffering work in VV3? Do you allocate a certain % towards transitions, etc?

as for your dual procs question:
there is a lot of info about VV2 and dual procs on this forum. do a search on 'dual' in this forum and you'll find it. don't know how performance is with VV3 and dual procs yet.
