Need Editing / Special Effect Help

I want to add connecting lines between two points on a map i.e. moving dots following the route of an airplane traveling between two cities. Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Have a look at one I made earlier. It's not exactly what you asked for, but the effect may be useful.

IanG, Thank you for your tip. I used the Linear Wipe instead of the Barndoor and it worked perfectly. Thanks again.

I made a mistake when I wrote the description - I used a linear wipe too. Glad it worked!
