Hello BK,

I dont think I understand you first question, please explain in more detail.

Forgot the second question as I was writing this reply.

As Grazie says you need to explain your problem exactly to get the best help.

Cheers, Paul

I want to import a lot of frames into vegas and then compress them into a file (avi, divx etc) but i´m having trouble with setting up the fps (so that 30 images is shown in 1 second)

Ideally you should have the pictures named sequentially, for example:
    pic0001.jpg
    pic0002.jpg
    pic0003.jpg
    pic0004.jpg
    pic0005.jpg
    pic0006.jpg
etc. If you do, then click on File / Open, browse to the directory with the pictures, click on the first one, then click the "Open still image sequence". This will add the entire series of pictures as a single video event at whatever frame rate the project properties are set for.

If your images aren't numbered sequentially then it's a bit more complicated. Go to Options / Preferences / Editing. Set the New still image length (seconds) to the appropriate duration for the frame rate, 0.033 for 30fps and UNcheck Automatically overlap. Now each image will be one frame long when added to the timeline. If the images are in the correct order when sorted in the directory you can highlight all of them and drag them to the timeline in one step; each will be added sequentially.
