Hello
I am using VideoFactory 2.0c with the MPEG plug in and want to render a clip so I can use ROXIO CD and DVD MAKER to burn my clip to a DVD but when I open ROXIO and try to find the clip I rendered with VideoFactory 2.0c its no where to be found and I know that I saved it in the folder I'm looking in, could you tell me the proper render format and template setting or something I am over looking to use to save the file so I can burn a DVD

Whew! 2.0c ... now that's a bit of history. ;) The current version is 6.0a. For the few bucks they charge for the upgrade you might want to consider it. Among other things, version 6 includes it's own DVD burning software that is vastly better than Roxio.

That being said ... make sure you're rendering to MPEG2; MPEG1 won't work. You'll want 29.97fps 720x480 with a PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) of 0.9091 for NTSC or 25fps 720x576 with a PAR of 1.0926 for PAL. If you're doing widescreen then the PAR is 1.2121 for NTSC and 1.4568 for PAL.

I would imagine that if you don't match these settings then Roxio will probably ignore the file.

Right at the top of this page. Click Purchase / Upgrades. The 2nd & 3rd items in the right column are upgrades to Vegas Movie Studio +DVD 6 and Vegas Movie Studio +DVD 6 Platinum Edition, priced at $39.95 and $59.95 respectively. You can also download the demo version version if you wish.
